Hi, today I went to the National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C. It was a really cool place to visit. I went to the Department of Mineral Science and was able to see the collections of gems. It was so interesting! I saw the Tiffany Diamond. It's huge, 128.54 carats! Charles Tiffany bought the diamond in 1878 and the Tiffany Company still owns it. They are letting the museum borrow it for a few months so it's on view for everyone to see. It's beautiful!

They also have the rarest diamonds in the world on display. These diamonds range from 5.11 to 203.04 carats in weight. They have all different colored diamonds. I saw pink, red, blue-green, yellow, blue, and orange.

Have you ever seen diamonds in all those colors?

The coolest part is they sell jewelry at the gift shop, and my parents bought me a souvenir!

If you have to go to a museum I would recommend this one. I thought I was in a jewelry store not a museum. .

Remember, the key to your winter wardrobe blues is adding a splash of color.
